Course Description: Powertrain will cover various powertrain systems as used in Caterpillar earthmoving equipment. The technician will learn how to use diagnostic tooling and service information, perform systems operation checks, testing, adjusting, and calibration procedures. The technician will be observed and asked to explain the system he is working on as well as the actions taken to troubleshoot and correct any problems.

Prerequisites: Basic Electrical
Passing Score: 90 or Better on Assessments
Notes: Participants are required to bring work clothes, safety glasses, and work shoes to this class. Participants will be in the shop performing hands-on work.
