Course Description: Hydraulics 1 will teach operation, adjustment, and troubleshooting techniques used on Caterpillar equipment. Specifically, it will cover reading pictorial and ISO schematics, operation of current pumps, motors, and valves, fundamental principles, and systems operation. Students will be shown how each component of a hydraulic system is depicted in a schematic, operates, and acts within the system. Multiple systems will be covered using hydraulic training aids and available machines. Many training aids will be used to demonstrate disassembly and operation, as well as an operating machine to test and troubleshoot faults.

Passing Score: 90 or Better on Assessments
Notes: Participants are required to bring work clothes, safety glasses, and work shoes to this class. Participants will be in the shop performing hands-on work.
