Course Description & Info

Course Description: Hydraulics 2 will cover the systems operation, testing, and adjusting of the Implement Hydraulic and the Electronic Monitoring System, along with the use of the Electronic Technician Program.  Hydraulic and Electrical schematics will be utilized throughout.  Lab time will also include using the flow meter to check the efficiency and setup of the implement hydraulic pumps. A Hydraulic Excavator or other available machines will be used for this course.

At The Completion of This Lesson, You Will Be Able To:                   

• Locate and identify all major components
• Trace oil flows through all hydraulic circuits using the schematic
• Test and adjust the Implement Hydraulic system
• Explain the operation of the Hydraulic system
• Read and understand an electrical schematic
• Test the Electronic Control Module using an Electronic Technician
• Flow test and adjust the implementation of hydraulic pumps
• Download information onto a thumb drive

Prerequisites: Basic Hydraulics

Passing Score: 90 or Better on Assessments

Notes:  Participants are required to bring work clothes, safety glasses, and work shoes to this class.  Participants will be in the shop performing hands-on work.
