Course Description: Engines 1 will teach the basic principles and operation of engine components as related to troubleshooting. The student will be able to identify engine components and how they affect engine performance. The student will perform overhead adjustments on Cat engines. SIS 2.0 will be used to obtain specifications, troubleshooting procedures, and repair procedures on Cat Engines. The effect of aftertreatment components on engine operation and performance will be discussed as well.

Notes: Participants are required to bring work clothes, safety glasses, and work shoes to this class. Participants will be in the shop performing hands-on work.
