Come join us at the local Caterpillar facility near Athens OR at our very own training center near Macon and put your skills to the test. When you arrive, stop by the welcome tent for your welcome kit and instructions then head over to the demo area and hop in line. We will have activities to participate in while you wait your turn including lunch and beverages!

Challenge 1: Caterpillar Plant

  • Time: 8am – 4:30pm
  • Address: 250 Dozer Dr, Bogart, GA 30622
  • Notes: There is a security gate at this facility so you MUST register prior to 8pm on August 17th so that your name is on the guest list! Once you get through security, we will have signs guiding you to the welcome tent!

  • Notes: This is a rural area but once you arrive, just follow the signage directing you to the training center. We will have plenty of additional event signs guiding you to the welcome tent!

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I want to participate in the Operator Challenge – How do I register? A: Complete the registration form above.

Q: How many Operator Challenges will there be? A: Yancey will host two challenges that will take place on Thursday, August 18th in Athens and Friday, September 16th in Macon. Save the dates!

Q: How many attempts is an operator given to complete the challenges? A: Each participating operator is allowed one attempt, they cannot compete at more than 1 Yancey challenge and cannot compete in other dealer territory challenges. Participation more than once will lead to disqualification.

Q: Can I participate in multiple Operator Challenges? A: No. You can only compete in the Operator Challenge for which you register, e.g., if you registered to participate in Athens, you can only compete in the Athens Operator Challenge.

Q: How are the challenges scored? A: Operators are scored on overall time to complete a challenge via stopwatch or other timing method plus any penalties with additive time allotments incurred to obtain an overall challenge time. Penalties such as safe operation protocols, contacting course obstacles and others vary in number and time additions based on the challenge.
