CAT to Expand Facility in Toccoa

Caterpillar Inc. will soon expand its Toccoa facility by adding 40,000 square-feet of manufacturing and warehouse space to the existing 70,000 square-foot facility. This $20 million expansion will create 50 new job opportunities in the area, and will bring the total number of CAT employees at the Stephens County facility to over 180 people by the 2015 completion date.

Greg Folley, Vice President for Remanufacturing & Components for Caterpillar said, “We use the seals produced in Toccoa in most of our machines. This expansion will allow us to better serve both our U.S. and global customers since more than 20 percent of the seals produced here are directly exported outside the United States”.
