*Participate in required safety program, and work in a safe manner.
*Locate parts and technical information utilizing provided systems.
*Greet customers and answer company phones in a professional and friendly manner.
*Ordering and processing customer and/or vendor parts requests through over-the-counter and telephone sales.
*Data entry for parts, sales order purchasing, receiving, customer debit/credit, physical count maintenance and warehousing process.
*Maintaining parts processing and filing of invoices and other documents that pertain to daily job functions.
*Meet established sales goals and act as a counselor sales person by recommending total parts solutions that meet the customer’s needs.
*Utilize problem-solving skills to address customer needs and questions and contact customers to follow up on orders and quotes to ensure customer satisfaction.
*Open and close the parts department when asked.
*Provide after-hours service when needed.
*Perform all work in accordance with established time, quality and safety standards.
*Utilize time productively between sales.
*Work as a team with PSSR, Service Writer and other departments to effectively communicate customer needs.
*Maintain inventory records. Maintain a clean, organized work area, and miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.
Required Skills:
*Knowledge and ability to use internet.
*Possess a strong knowledge of Truck engine and Full Service Parts.
*At least 2 years of full service parts experience.
*Ability to:
*Research part numbers correctly and accurately
*Operate a forklift safely
*Read, analyze, and interpret technical information – schematics, technical manuals and technical drawings.
*Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and the ability to compute rate, ratio and percentages
*Operate equipment as needed

Main Shop Technician - Savannah
Location: Savannah

The Savannah location has an immediate need for a shop Technician. This position will require daily repairs as specified on products such as diesel equipment, powertrains, and hydraulic and electrical systems. Daily complete inspections of equipment with regard to safety and efficient operations and police contamination control practices. Must have knowledge of routine maintenance and repair procedures for a range of equipment (Cat & non-Cat). This position will daily require Technician to bend, squat, lift, crawl, climb and reach. Will also routinely lift and put into place heavy loads requiring pushing, lifting and holding in excess of 100 lbs, and required to provide own tools. At all times to communicate with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
Required Skills:
Skills are to include troubleshooting, machine electronics, hydraulic diagnostics, mechanical fuel and prior heavy equipment knowledge. Must always remain dedicated to achieving the commitments established for our customers.

Heavy Equipment Sales Trainees

Yancey Bros. Co., The Nation's Oldest Caterpillar dealer, has immediate openings for Heavy Equipment Sales Trainees. Selected individuals will complete a rigorous 6-12 month training program that includes computer based training, hands-on training, rotational assignments and sales related projects. The program will focus on learning and understanding the product support, operations and sales areas of the company. Upon successful completion of the training program, the individual will be assigned a rental, product support or general line sales position in our Machine Division. This is a full-time position, including benefits and a competitive salary.

Responsible for diagnosing condition problems and performing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic reconditioning or rebuilding of Yancey
Rebuild Center equipment to include but not limited to construction equipment. Duties include tasks required for reconditioning machines, ordering parts,
writing detailed reports, as well as any other maintenance duties required.
Required Skills:
Must be familiar with a variety of Cat Machines and maintenance processes. Must also be familiar with SISWEB and have the ability to order parts. There are two positions available for a Technician at a Level 2 and 3. This level includes the skills to recondition, repair and/or replace all components of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, air conditioning systems, suspension systems, drive trains, electrical systems, steering, braking, material handling, and operator comfort systems.
