SAFETY.CAT.COM™ Website Makes Debut

Yancey Bros. Co. and Caterpillar are committed to providing our customers with the safest and most reliable products and services available. Now, with the launch of the SAFETY.CAT.COM™ website, Yancey and Caterpillar build on our commitment. Visitors to the site will find a wide variety of materials dedicated to promoting the safety of everyone who works in, on, or around Caterpillar equipment.

To access the site simply click on this link: http://SAFETY.CAT.COM.

The site was launched on June 5, 2007, and reinforces safety messages found in Caterpillar’s official Operation and Maintenance Manuals (OMM). It also covers the world of safety in motion. For the first time, Caterpillar videos on walk around inspections and operating tips are available on demand from one online source.

Other SAFETY.CAT.COM offerings include OMM excerpts, multimedia pieces, and toolbox talks on a variety of safety topics.

Why a new web site, with an identity separate from CAT.com? To make it as easy as possible for people to find safety information—and to move from one safety message to another without distraction. A link at the top of the SAFETY.CAT.COM page connects visitors to the main corporate website.

“We created SAFETY.CAT.COM to promote safety on the job to the widest audience possible,” said Dave Hudson, manager of Caterpillar’s Customer Safety Services division. “That audience includes two groups that have been telling us that they’re hungry for convenient access to this information: our dealers and our customers. We intend SAFETY.CAT.COM to be their ‘go-to’ source for safety.”

With information spanning the entire Cat product line, SAFETY.CAT.COM promises to become one of the most comprehensive safety sites for the heavy equipment industry.
